Under the chairmanship of Premier Berisha, it was held today the routine meting of Inter-ministerial Committee for Visa Liberalization, where it was discussed about meeting the requirements of EC roadmap for visa liberalization by the Albanian agencies and ministries.
In his address, Premier Berisha said that it has been carried out a daily work that has enabled the fulfillment in general of the European Commission roadmap for visa liberalization. In this respect, the Premier mentioned the establishment of Inter-Institutional Committee for Measures against Organized Crime and Terrorism; entry into force of the new against organized Crime; approval by government of the draft law for Social Assistance to Victims of Trafficking; quick vote in Parliament of law on speed boat moratorium. The Premier said there is great progress and it has been solved problem for control of criminal data base for biometric passports applicants. Meanwhile, year 2011 has been defined as the deadline for use of old passports.
Regarding the expected visit of a European Commission group of experts, Premier Berisha urged by the agencies to be ready to provide most accurate answers and clearest demonstration of all those requests implemented or being implemented, in compliance with the European Commission roadmap for visa liberalization.
