Premier Berisha received today a Parliamentary Delegation of National Assembly of South Korea, led by Mr. Han – Sak Song.

Welcoming the delegation, Premier Berisha praised the excellent political relations between two peoples, and expressed to South Korean delegation the wish and commitment of Albanian government to establish and intensify the relations and cooperation between two countries, in particular in economic, trade field and reciprocal investments. 

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Song thanked Premier Berisha for the warm and friendly hospitality, and praised also the excellent relations between two countries and will of South Korea for further intensification of cooperation, especially in the economic and trade field between two countries. 

Further on, Premier Berisha informed the delegation of the reforms undertaken by Albanian government for economic development and establishment of a favorable climate for business and investments in our country. Albania is the country with the lowest taxes in Europe, Premier Berisha said. There are several South Korean prestigious companies, such as Samsung, Korea Electric, etc, which have expressed interest to invest in Albania and Premier Berisha assured the parliamentarians that all the South Korean investments will have the full support of Albanian government. In this context, Premier Berisha thanked the South Korean government for the support given to Albania, in particular in project of re-structuring of the electric network in Albania, students’ scholarship for qualification of Albanian students, etc.

South Korean parliamentarians were really interested in field of power production, tourism, and mineral industry and guaranteed Premier Berisha that government of South Korea will continue to support Albanian also in the second stage of the electric network restructuring, as well as encourage Korean investors to consider Albania as their destination for business and investments. 

Likewise, Premier Berisha extended thanks to South Korean Parliamentary Delegation for being one of the first countries to recognize Independence of Kosova.
